The Attitude Control System (ACS) trim tab control system automatically balances the trim according to the wind, a change in course or the distribution of passengers on board. This ensures that your boat has the optimum tilt. This control unit is suitable for almost all trim tab systems.

Trim correction system

The deep V-shaped hulls of new pleasure boats are designed to offer you pleasant sailing even in rough seas. The deeper the V-shape of the hull, the more the trim tabs must be adjusted to maintain a relatively stable trim.

Roll and heel (transverse trim) are caused by the wind and the distribution of weight on board, and therefore the position of the passengers.

Pitching (longitudinal trim) depends on speed and load.

Changes of course induce changes of angle to the wind and the trims must be adjusted accordingly. The same applies when passengers change seats: the new weight distribution requires new settings.

This need to constantly adjust the flaps takes the full attention of the driver and, as a result, can create a safety risk during high-speed navigation. The attitude control system (ACS) works for you. During a change of course or wind direction or when passengers move around, the boat's attitude is automatically corrected according to the memorized trim and flap settings.

Roll and pitch axes

ACS RP (Roll and Pitch) automatically adjusts the boat's trim on both the roll and pitch axes. Pitch control improves visibility and allows high speeds to be achieved in "semi-planning". It also improves "planing", a feature that benefits large boats.

Automatic/manual mode

The Auto key is used to select the ACS mode. When the auto key is briefly pressed, the autopilot switches from manual to automatic mode and vice versa. In manual mode, the keys can be used to control the boat's trim manually. In automatic mode, the boat's trim is controlled automatically when the indicator is on. When the indicator flashes, automatic mode is suspended because the boat is turning or slowing down.

Function: with the control panel, you can transform a manual compensation system into a fully automatic compensation system.

Installation: the existing control panel is replaced by the ACS from Mente Marine (connection by 6 cables). The installed sensors measure the movements of the boat.
