Description Loctite SI 5940 black joint paste (100 ML tube)
LOCTITE® SI 5940 is a black one-part acetoxy silicone paste sealant that vulcanizes at room temperature. It is mainly used as a general-purpose sealing and bonding agent, a rubber adhesive for filling space or a formed-in-place gasket. It adheres to clean metal, glass, most non-oily woods, silicone resin, vulcanized silicone rubber, ceramics, natural and synthetic fibers and many painted and plastic surfaces.
Excellent resistance to ageing, shrinking, cracking and discoloration
Solvent-free
Hardens when exposed to air moisture to form a hard, flexible, waterproof, oil-resistant silicone rubber bond
Generally used in applications with an operating range of -50°C to +200°C and can intermittently reach temperatures up to +220°C
Can be used where PERMATEX Ultra Black is recommended
