Active Trim is the automatic GPS-controlled engine trim system patented by Mercury Marine.

Active Trim is an automatic engine trim system, based on speed with integrated GPS from Mercury Marine. This intuitive, hands-free system continuously adjusts the engine trim based on changes in the boat's speed to improve performance, gasoline economy and ease of use. It responds to the boat's movements with precision and ensures a better overall driving experience.

No knowledge of engine trimming is necessary to benefit from Active Trim.
