Part Number 8M0173704: Under-cowl mounting

• Location: It mounts directly inside the engine, under the cowl (the "hood" or "grille").
• Wiring: It includes a dedicated terminating resistor. It plugs directly into the engine’s 10-pin SmartCraft connector. From there, simply run a standard NMEA 2000 network cable from the engine to the dashboard.
• Advantage: Ideal if the dashboard does not yet have a Mercury data network (no junction box under the console) or for streamlined setups.
