Description New GM V8 5.0L VORTEC engine block (1996-2004)
Long Block GM 5.0L V8 VORTEC (1996-2004) with crankcases
5.0 liters, 305 V-8, 250-300 HP (standard left-hand rotation) 100% new
Replaces all makes of 5.0L Gen+ marine engines from 1996 to 2015 using an 8-bolt intake manifold with standard marine camshaft for a range of 4,600 to 5,000 rpm.
Does not include provisions for a mechanical gasoline pump.
Engine features: cast iron block, nodular cast iron crankshaft, one-piece rear main seal, roller camshaft, marine oil pan, high-flow oil pump, harmonic balancer and CPS and balancer included.
Intake and exhaust manifold gaskets are not supplied.
Caution: For a new or reconditioned unit to function properly, the exhaust manifolds and elbows must be changed. This operation is a condition of the warranty.
