3.0-liter inline-four (181 cc) (Standard left-hand rotation) 100% new
- Engine characteristics: cast iron block, crankshaft with wide fillet radius, hypereutectic pistons 9.3:1 and rocker arms 1.5:1
- Cylinder head features: reinforced seats, screw-in studs, Black-X valves
- Includes harmonic balancer, oil pan and valve cover.
- Compatible with front or side engine mounts
- Bore machined in the crankshaft to accept the Volvo coupling.
- No provision for gasoline injectors mounted on the cylinder head.
- Replaces all makes of 1990 and later marine and LMX industrial engines not using dedicated MPI cylinder heads.
Applications include: carburetor Mercruiser 3.0L and 3.0LX and Volvo 3.0 GL and GS.
Not suitable for MPI and GXI engines
Caution: For the engine to function properly, the manifold and exhaust elbow must be replaced.
